Oct. 1 – 4

This week, students were given their Powerpoint Assignment and then Ms. Brinker went through her Asics example. Since part of this assignment is to examine advertising, we then shifted our focus to understand the persuasive techniques advertisers use to convince consumers to spend money on their products. In this process, we examined a lot of advertisements, from Pepsi to Converse, and started to identify the 3 basic techniques present in them: ethos, logos and pathos.
